A New Chapter

I’m writing this post while sitting in my bedroom in a 14th century castle in the Netherlands just moments after watching the clock click past midnight.  Thus it is now my birthday, marking yet another year of adventures successfully completed and kicking off what might just be my most exciting year yet!  Today I have my first day of classes here at Kasteel Well and officially starts my time here in Europe.

The jet lag is wearing off, but it still hasn’t really hit me that I’ll be living in this castle for the next 3 months.  I’m already appreciative of everything that has happened, but I know that this program is going to offer so many experiences and memories that I will not be able to truly grasp until long after I return to the United States.  The challenges that I will have to overcome as I travel around Europe will change how I think about this world and how I interact with the people in it.  I have already noticed significant differences between the Dutch and American lifestyles and personalities.

Keep an eye out for updates as I’m already working on some ideas for fun projects to work on in the coming months!  I will be posting more often on here – most likely to share pictures from our weekend excursions.

I am in the process of uploading some finished projects and more will be up soon.  In the meantime, check out my first animation project – “Guitars“.

In the future, I will make a new post as each project is uploaded.
